Re-Imagineering Continues
The latest sign of expansion and "re-Imagineering" in Disney's California Adventure park is the new illuminated "Paradise Pier" sign on the "California Screamin'" roller coaster. Installed overnight between Thursday and Friday, March 12 and 13, the sign reflects the "vintage Disney" themeing that is part of the Disney's California Adventure expansion.

Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln Returns
A longtime favorite of Disneyland guests will return as “The Disneyland Story, featuring Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln,” an enhanced version of the show which appeared, in various forms, in the Main Street Opera House at Disneyland park from 1966 through 2004 . The attraction will reopen later this year in celebration of the 200th anniversary year of Abraham Lincoln’s birth.

2009 Food & Wine Festival
Disney's California Food and Wine Festival will celebrate the international cultures, people, food and traditions that have made California one of the most diverse culinary destinations in the world. With a theme of “World Celebration,” the Festival expands to six weeks in 2009 – April 24 through June 7 – featuring daily complimentary demonstrations and premier ticketed events at Disney’s California Adventure park and throughout the Resort. Tickets for the premier events - which include unique opportunities to go “Behind the Scenes With …” celebrity chefs and winemakers - go on sale beginning Tuesday, Feb. 24.

Programs to Reduce Emissions
As part of its ongoing commitment to the environment, Disneyland Resort announced two innovative environmental initiatives to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. The Resort has begun using compressed natural gas to fuel its guest trams and recycled cooking oil to power its Disneyland Railroad steam trains and Mark Twain riverboat.

'it’s a small world’ Returns
A beloved Disneyland attraction returned to Fantasyland today, February 6, when “it’s a small world” opened with some new storytelling magic. With the premiere of a new “Spirit of America” scene, new musical enhancements, and a new look for some of the attraction’s familiar child dolls, “it’s a small world” will once again take guests of all ages on “the happiest cruise that ever sailed.”

"Kids Price" Package Offer
Guests can now book the special Walt Disney Travel Company package with valid for travel January 6 – April 28, 2009. Bookings must be completed by April 26. New Records Set in Half Marathon
Course records were broken in Men's, Women's and Master's divisions in the third annual Disneyland Half Marathon, Sunday at Disneyland Resort. John Lucas, a marketing specialist for a sports apparel company in Eugene, Oregon, crossed the finish line first with a Disneyland Half Marathon record time of 1:08:05 (exactly two minutes faster than the 2007 winning time), leading the field of an estimated 13,500 participants.

Best of Both Worlds
When the world’s most popular teenager turns “Sweet 16,” it’s cause to celebrate. To honor the occasion, Disneyland Resort has created “Miley’s Sweet 16 – Share The Celebration,” an event for Miley and her fans that will also serve to recognize Youth Service America and help drive awareness of the need for youth volunteerism. The bash is planned for Sunday, October 5, from 6 to 11 p.m., with ticket sales limited to 5,000 fans. Tickets, priced at $250, go on sale at 9 a.m. PDT, Saturday, August 30, at www.disneyparks.com/miley.

"Art of Disney" Stamp Dedication
Mickey Mouse and his friends rule as the most popular stamp series with 211.5 million collected. Originally scheduled to be introduced as three sets during a three-year period, the fifth and final debut for the Art of Disney series took place on August 7, in front of the Sleeping Beauty castle in Disneyland when the Postal Service dedicates the Art of Disney: Imagination stamps.

Castle Walkthrough Reopens This Holiday Season
The interior of Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland will open in time for the December holiday season, offering guests a “reawakened” version of its classic walkthrough presentation kissed with vibrant scenes of Aurora, her charming prince, the evil Maleficent and other characters from the beloved fairy tale film.
