Two separate teams of paramedics will now be stationed at Disneyland Park and Disney's California Adventure. The paramedics work for the City of Anaheim, and are supposed to assist in cutting down response time to on-site emergencies.
The city receives 2-5 emergency calls a day from the resort, mostly in response to heart attacks and heat stroke. Walt Disney World in Orlando already has paramedics on staff at the resort. Anaheim Fire Chief Roger Smith says paramedics are currently in the process of being trained, although the deal is still waiting approval by the City Council.
