Despite the unexpected low crowds at Disney's California Adventure, the resort is still planning on adding over 1,700 parking spots around Katella and Harbor Blvd. for Guests and Cast Members. The resort will add 1,000 of the stalls for overflow parking near the Anaheim Convention Center, and the remaining 701 will be added to the Katella Cast Member Lot off Clementine Street. Disney has a total of 29,700 parking spaces for Guests and Cast Members.

The measure for Disney's five year temporary parking plan passed the Anaheim City Council with a vote of 4-1. Critics of the parking said the plan should wait until the approval of Disney's planned third theme park in Anaheim. However park spokesman Ray Gomez states that the spots are needed now with an anticipated incrase in attendance over the summer.
