Well, after all of the long months and all the promotions, the Intercot West Meet has swiftly come and gone. After all the planning and excitement it's hard to believe it's over! All in all, the meet was a huge success. The turnout was spectacular, and the group ranged from long time Intercotees to brand new members of the boards.

The meet started off with a bang at Snow White's Wishing Well. Actually, Snow White herself was busy taking photos by the well so the Intercotees had to give her a few minutes before congregating in the actual shade of the well :). Each Intercot Guest would slowly arrive and would be greeted by anxious stares, which would turn to questioning stares when they said their first name, to a warm "Ohhh!!! Welcome!! Great to meet you!!" once they stated their Intercot registered username.

Once most everyone had gathered, Ryan placed a cell phone call to John over in Orlando, who was having a fabulous turnout for the kickoff of the Intercot Odyssey at the Contemporary Hotel. Both the Florida and Anaheim crews shouted an Intercot greeting to the person on the other end of the line, and then it was time for a group photo. A very sweet Cast Member, Jennifer, was kind enough to take our picture with the many cameras handed to her. As Guests can see below, it was well worth her effort. From there it was over to the Jungle Cruise, where our trail of over 20 Intercot members took up a good portion of the queue. The Cast Member's face was classic when he was told "Party of 21." Nonetheless they literally squeezed everyone in on one side of the boat, and the ride was a blast. Skipper Erik was hilarious, and got a round of applause with his verbal "bang bang" as we traveled through the hippo pool.

At long last it was time for the Intercot West Tea Cup Spin-Off! While most Intercotees chose to help judge and save their tummies, four teams ranging from two to four Intercotees jumped in line and boarded their tea cups. It was a very close race, but in the end Daniel (surfdude182) and Chris took home the blue ribbon for their speedy spinning skills! Lori aka. Pongo's husband Bill took home the sickest-expression green ribbon for taking the longest to exit the teacup, although his teammates Bryant (MegaDisney) and Henry (sillyshydisneyfreak) were close runners-up!



At the end of the spin-off, Bryant (MegaDisney) and Scott (ParadisePierPinnochio) took some of the Intercotees over to DCA to hit some rides, while the rest of the group headed to the Haunted Mansion to pay Maynard a visit. After Maynard had serenaded a few Intercotees and we enjoyed the ride-through, it was sadly "time to say good-bye... to all our company. MIC-see you real soon! KEY-why, because we like you! M-O-U-S-E."

The staff here at Intercot West would like to send a big thank you out to all those who came out on Saturday! It was an incredible day and such fun to meet everyone and put faces to the names on the boards. We are looking forward to the next meet which will take place sometime in the fall, featuring the first ever Intercot West Resort Challenge!
