In the last few weeks, a lot has been going on at the Disneyland Resort in preparation for the summer season and the summer crowds. While most of the changes have been going on at the newer Disney's California Adventure, Disneyland Park is getting some updates as well.
Disney's California Adventure began by attracting more local visitors with summer ticket price cuts. Over the past week and a half, it has added a great deal of more entertainment throughout the parks, focusing on the presence of the famous Disney characters.
Minnie Earheart now greets Guests in Condor Flats, while Chip n' Dale play with the younger ones in Redwood Creek Challenge Trail. Goofy and his son Max are also greeting Guests in the Bay Area, rather than just the Sunshine Plaza area.
DCA Guests can now visit Mickey's very own garden in Bountiful Valley Farm for a short show on growing a garden. The show features everyone's favorite two chipmunks, Chip n' Dale, who manage to make the garden growing experience a little more entertaining. But never fear, the famous Mouse comes in the end to save the garden and make everyone's day with a little garden hoedown. This show is definitely geared towards the younger generation. Perhaps the largest entertainment addition to DCA is
Goofy's Beach Party Bash, replacing Lights, Camera, Chaos! in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot area. Goofy and his son Max are making a movie, and everyone is invited to see what crazy things happen. Guests (primarily younger ones) can even be extras in the movie by taking a stage side seat down on the beach area. But be careful, because the director Donald Duck is under a lot of pressure to make the movie a hit! The show features Goofy, Max, Donald and more surprise famous Disney stars. Filled with hip music and a lot of laughs, this is definitely a good show for the kids and families as a whole. Guests can check out photos of the new show by clicking

Later this week officially starting July 4th, DCA will get its biggest entertainment addition with Disney's Electrical Parade, a California classic. Stay tuned for the full report and photos of the parade here on Intercot West!
Over in Disneyland Park, new things are also coming about. The Tomorrowland Terrace area has been completely converted into "Club Buzz - Lightyear's Above the Rest" an area themed to the heroic Buzz Lightyear. The new area will offer a variety of new food and entertainment for Guests, including the show "Calling all Space Scouts… a Buzz Lightyear Adventure." The new menu features "Out of This World" cuisine, and the entire area features décor and memorabilia from Lightyear's space adventures, including the Club Buzz stage band and other evening entertainment.
Nearby Club Buzz is the Atlantis photo area, where Guests can take pictures with characters and pose on an Atlantean transport from Disney's new animated feature Atlantis.
Along with the updates over at the Resort, Intercot West also has updated its photo gallery to feature all of the new events going on at the resort. It also includes all of the photos from the incredibly successful
