At the I-West meet yesterday, we were discussing going to the El Capitan Theatre as a group to view The Nightmare Before Christmas. It is playing there from Oct 19 - Oct 31. Along with the movie they are showing the classic shorts "Frankenweenie" and "Vincent" directed by Tim Burton. Plus a go behind-the-scenes look at the props and sets used to make the movie in an exclusive display in the El Capitan theatre's lower lounge.
Tickets are on sale via the web at www.elcapitantickets.com or by phoning 1-800-DISNEY6.
They are selling out fast, so if we want to get a group togther, we will all have to get organized very quickly. I would suggest going on Saturday, Oct 27. There are still tickets available for all performances, and all tickets for shows before 5pm are only $5.75. Shows after 5pm are $9.00 and priority seating is $19.00 for all performances.
There is a Red Line (MetroRail Subway) station directly across the street from the Theatre, so transportation from almost anywhere is possible without a lot of difficulty.
I'll start out by suggesting the 4:30pm show on 10/27. Seats are first come - first served, so we should arrive at the theatre from 1-2 hours before showtime. Please post SOON, as we would all need to order tickets ASAP.
