Slowly but surely, word is starting to emerge about the Walt Disney flick based on Pirates of the Caribbean. While not a lot of details are known, what is certain is that Disney hopes to make this movie one of their major "tentpole" hits when it comes out in Summer 2003. Not much is known yet about the plot of the film, except for its evident basis on the classic attraction inside Disneyland Park. The movie will presumably occur within modern times, and feature a rescue effort from the grasp of a ship of "trapped in time" dangerous pirates who are trying to reverse an ancient curse.
