Haunted Mansion

The Fastpass on Haunted Mansion is by far the best themed example of the system in the park. The Distribution Center is simply miraculous that is worth seeing for Guests who admire Disney work, even if they don't want Fastpass for the ride. Fastpass is generally not necessary at the Haunted Mansion, as lines don't tend to stretch beyond 30 minutes or so. However, Fastpass is best used on this attraction in the middle of a hot and crowded summer day. It may also become much more necessary after the attraction's large refurbishment in October 2001, which is supposed to bring new themeing to the ride.
Entrance
The Entrances to the Distribution Center, Fastpass Return, and Standby line are all very distinct and fairly easy to locate on the Haunted Mansion. The Standby Line is on the left side of the main entrance to the attraction at a large pathway leading to the front door of the Mansion, well marked by signs overhead. The Fastpass Return line is also located at his location, except is to the right. A Cast Member should be standing at the main entrance as well. Distribution Center. Guests actually have to enter the center and veer to their right where a Cast Member will be checking Fastpass tickets. The Distribution Center is rather well hidden off to the far left hand side of the attraction (if Guests are facing it) back by the fountain and the New Orleans train station.
Distribution Center
The Distribution Center for Haunted Mansion is incredibly well designed and themed. It almost appears like a large tomb or shrine that one has to enter in order to retrieve their price -a Fastpass ticket. It is rather hidden from public view however, as it is actually inside a small courtyard surrounded by brick wall. Guests should veer to their left when approaching the Main Entrance to Mansion and stay along the bring wall that borders the Mansion. The Distribution Center is an enclosed courtyard area straight ahead. Each Distribution Unit is themed as a tomb with fancy yet spooky plant décor all around. Guests simply enter the courtyard area (a line might be present leading out of the courtyard on the right hand side of the gate), obtain their Fastpass and exit out the way they entered.
Standby Line
The Haunted Mansion Standby Line is very easy to fine. It is located at the main gate entrance to the attraction, and is clearly marked by signs above the gate that list the Standby wait and Fastpass Return time. Guests can see a long and wide pathway that winds around in front of the house that is the main part of the queue. A Cast Member should be standing at the entrance. This Standby Line tends to move fairly quickly, as a large number of Guests can be loaded at the time. However it will always go slower if there are more Guests in line and the weather is unpleasant.
Fastpass Return
The Fastpass Return entrance is easy to find at this attraction. Like the Standby line, it is located at the Main Entrance of the attraction on the right hand side. A Cast Member will be available at the entrance for assistance. The split of the Haunted Mansion queue makes it easy to separate Fastpass holders and Standby Guests. Guests holding a Fastpass continue straight up to the front door of the Mansion, rather than wrapping around in the queue as the Standby line does.
