Disneyland Park - Fantasyland Theater

This show will be canceled during rainy weather as backstage areas are uncovered and susceptible to rain. Even though the theater is designed for rain the backstage areas are not.

I would suggest arrive roughly 20 min before show time. If you happen to walk by earlier and see a line forming out side of the theater than you should get in line then. The Cast Members usually open up the theater about 15 min before show time. This gives the cast time to rest and allows for clean up of the theater. Unless the park is very busy this show has not been bringing in very large crowds.

Since this is a theater, almost anywhere is good. Even many of the seats in the very back offer good views of the stage.

Animazement is where many of Disney's recent animations are brought to life on the stage. Four artists "paint" the characters into reality and the show begins. The entire show is a montage of Disney's more recent animated films, from the Little Mermaid on. Thought it is nice to hear all the popular songs from each of these movies, the show does not keep your interest for very long. As usual there is confetti and even bubble for the Little Mermaid scene, with some other neat effects and acting. The one major plus for the show is its wonderful singers, some of the best I've heard for a live Disneyland stage show.

While in line keep your eyes open for vendors with drinks, which you'll probably want on hot summer days. Also right by the entrance is a small concession stand, which sells pizza, drinks and other goodies. If you want to venture a little further, there is Pluto's Dog House, Daisy's Diner, and Clarabelle's Frozen Yogurt in Toontown.

This is one show that has the restrooms right there, and lockers too! Just walk over by the concession stand and you'll see both. If the restrooms here are busy, walk back to Toontown to the gas station and you'll find more there.
