Grizzly River Run

Type of Ride: Wild River Raft Ride
Rating: DDDD, this a fun-filled ride filled with thrills and adventure
Length:
Average Wait: 30 minutes
Fastpass Available
When to Ride: The shortest lines can be found early in the morning and later in the evening. However, it is a guarantee that guests will get wet on this attraction, and thus picking a warmer time of day, perhaps using Fastpass, might be more appropriate despite the lines.

Age Group: All who are adventurous
Special Restrictions/Considerations: The attraction is very easily accessible to disabled Guests. While the rafts are constantly moving during the loading process, rafts can be pulled aside into a special pen where they are held stationary for Guests to board if needed. For their own safety and comfort. Guests should be in good health, free from heart, back or neck problems, motion sickness or other conditions that could be aggrevated by the adventure. Expectant mothers should not ride, and young children should be accompanied by an adult. Guests who do not meet the 42" height requirement do not ride
History: Grizzly River Run is probably the most known of all California Adventure attractions, as guests have watched its development since construction began on the new theme park with the large mound of dirt that appeared during the spring and summer of 1998. This attraction is one of the most popular at Disney's California Adventure, as Grrr the bear is the figurehead for the theme park. The attraction was complete upon the park's opening in February 2001.

Location: On the West side of Grizzly Recreation Area, directly across from the Grand Californian Hotel and Redwood Creek Challenge Trail

Description:
Grizzly River Run is a thrilling water raft adventure that sends Guests roaring down a river through Grizzly Peak, a mountain filled with creepy caves, twists and turns. Guests board large rafts and embark on a journey though an old gold mine turned tourist trap. Once aboard guests are lifted 45 feet to the top of the attraction where they will start their white water adventure. During the trip Guests will experience 2 drops, the final one is 45 feet long where rafts will spin a full 360 degrees and drop at a 30 degree angle. (Note: Splash Mountain at Disneyland is a 45 degree angle.)
