History:
The famous California Screamin' is one of the park's most popular and anticipated attractions. It is the first coaster with an upside down loop at the Disneyland Resort (in the shape of a Mickey no less!) Guests curiously watched the construction of its steep drops high over the walls of the theme park, and were excited to ride when it opened with the park on February 8, 2001.
Location:
In the heart of Paradise Pier, this attraction cannot be missed
Description:
California Screamin' is a fast, high intensity steel roller coaster that is made to look like a large wooden roller coaster. Guests are launched by a linear induction catapult system at the outset from 0 to 55 mph in 4 seconds! The ride includes a 107-foot drop and a loop that forms the head of a large Mickey silhouette. It is the fastest attraction at the resort and a must ride for all who are brave enough to do so! Be sure to smile for the cameras and check out your photo at the end of the ride.

First off, I'd like to say that this roller coaster was the coolest thing of my vacation!!!!! I'd never been on a thrill ride like that! At first I was scared, but when I saw all these younger kids (I'm 14) getting off smiling and laughing, I realized this could be pretty cool, and it was! The most unforgetable part would have to be the launch at first. I lost my breath halfway through it! The music was awesome too, you gotta try it!!!!
