Any time of day works for this attraction, but those who ride at night will be rewarded with a spectacular view when they are launched into space.
Age Group:
Guests as young as "pre-teen" might enjoy this attraction, and it is definitely geared towards teenagers and adults. Youngsters may want to sit out this one, except for the very adventurous who meet the height requirement.
Special Restrictions/Considerations:
Guests who do not meet the 52" height requirement may not ride. Wheelchair transfer is required. For safety and comfort Guests should be in good health, and free from heart, back or neck problems, motion sickness or other conditions that could be aggravated by this adventure. Expectant mothers should not ride. Young children should be accompanied by an adult.
History:
The 180 foot structure of the Maliboomer could be seen from far away by curious future Guests as California Adventure was being constructed. It opened with the rest of the theme park on February 8, 2001.

Description:
The Maliboomer comprised of four 180-foot tall "space shot" towers, creating a plummeting adventure for thrill-seeking Guests. The track is a famous carnival "test your strength meter" and let's just say there is no doubt every car will ring the bell at the top of the tower. Guests are shot up 180 feet and then fall back down again, only to be shot up again, and down again, and up again. It is an awesome thrill for daring Guests of all ages, not to mention it offers a great view of the park if one can keep their eyes open long enough to catch a glimpse.
