Mr. Toad's Wild Ride

Type of Ride: Disney "dark ride"
Rating: DD, a little faster and wilder than the other Fantasyland rides.
Length: 2 minutes
Average Wait: 30 minutes
When to Ride: Early mornings or later in the evening
Age Group: All
Special Restrictions/Considerations:
This attraction uses strobe lights as part of some effects.

History:

Location:
Mr. Toad's is on the east side of Fantasyland right across from the Carrousel

Description:
Join Mr. Toad as he takes you on a wild ride! There are many special effects and elements that make this a truly wild ride. If you have smaller children this is the equivalent of a "thrill ride" to them.

Reviews:
How can a great ride like this not already have a review? This is the best dark ride in Fantasyland (okay, so they other ones suck). The only problem I can see with this ride is taking a ride through a hot and humid hell is slightly disturbing. It's a scene which scarred me for life at the age of five. I didn't go on again until I was 13. :)

A fantastic trip into the farthest reaches of the imagination, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride is one of a kind. I didn't like it much, mainly because it wasn't a feel-good-wow-let's-do-this-again kind of ride. There's one part where you plunge into the depths of hell, something that might be a little to morbid for pre-toddlers and toddlers. I didn't really get a clear sense of went on through the entire ride -rather, I was thrown in and out of doors into seemingly random scenes, leaving me dizzied and confused. I'd say skip and head to Peter Pan or Snow White instead.

Let me expound a bit on your review. This is, without a doubt, the scariest ride in Fantasyland for small children. I took my daughter on this ride when she was about 7. When we got off, her eyes looked they were going to pop out of her head. It is truly a sensory overload experience, with bells, whistels, creaks, shrieks, and props inside swinging away in front of your car or hanging over your head. There is also a scene where you drive up onto some railroad tracks as a train barrels down toward you; quite frightening. Lastly, you end up in hell with little devils popping out of volcanos. It is extreme for little kids.

I thought that this ride was very adorable and amusing to be on! I will never forget this ride and plan on riding it every time I come back! This ride is fun for ALL ages!
