History:
Location:
The Astro Orbiter is the central focus at the entrance of Tomorrowland
Description:
This ride is basically the same as Dumbo in Fantasyland, but sport a futuristic look similar to the Orbitron in Disneyland Paris, with large gold colored orbs that rotate above the rockets themselves. Once in motion this attraction provides a very impressive look. In fact the effect created is more impressive than the ride itself. The Astro Orbiter queue lines guests up behind unique control booths and under the Rocket Rods track. Guests enjoy a 90-second ride, spinning around above the crystal-like rockwork and watching Rocket Rods zoom at them.
Reviews:
Why did they "move" this ride from the elevated site above the People Mover...Boring! Not worth the wait at any cost.
